There's zero chance KY can't afford it. The people in Lexington and Louisville just don't want to. Same is definitely true of Alabama (though its Huntsville and Tuscaloosa) and Tennessee (though it's Nashville).
MS...well, idk all that much about it. My suspicion is there are enough lawyers/bankers/physicians from Memphis and NOLA that they could make it work.
WV...it's literally part of the DC train system, so I suspect they could do it. Of course, the mountains do limit traffic between DC and WV.
An easy fix would be to just make it $11, see what happens and go from there.
I didn't read the article, but based on the podcasts to which I listen, the key to a lot of these injury situations are these three variables: 1. Periodization. For example, do you run every day or do you give yourself time to heal. I use the technical term because "when" and "how much" are very tied together, but in the end are very different.
2. volume. This plays along with point one, but a 5k and a 50k are very different.
3. Your equipment. In this case, I mean your shoes, but also the terrain (roads, trails, etc.), and your physical build (not just size, but foot type, etc.). If you roll your ankles a lot for whatever reason (which is definitely tied to trails and shoe type), then you are likely going to put a lot more strain on your knees.
I would really appreciate shares to get the message out of this. Also, please feel free to translate. I would love to have native Spanish speakers in particular involved as South America is predominantly Spanish-speaking. I know Brazil is Portuguese and one of the smaller northeast countries is English-speaking, but we just need diversity in general and I think having native speakers of other languages is one way to do that.
It's that time again. We are looking for regional judges for the Creative Commons Community Music Awards. Please let me know if you would be interested in taking a region.
The regions we have available are as follows (two regions are already taken): #Canada Rocky Mountain - ID, MT, WY, NV, UT, CO Mid-West - ND, SD, NE, KS, MO, IA, MN, WI, IL, IN, MI, OH Southwest - OK, TX, NM, AZ Southeast - AR, LA, MS, AL, GA, FL, TN, SC, NC, KY, WV, VA, DC (if someone really wants to do Northeast with DC, sure, take it) #Mexico, Central America, and Carribbean (we haven't decided if PR will be here or in US Southeast) #Asia (minus Russia) #Oceania (including #Australia) #SouthAmerica #Africa
In the future, we would love to break the regions up more, but having smaller regions this year has proved unmanageable. How much of that is due to covid? Who knows.
I have been told in the past that once-a-day posts are fine but any more than that gets tiresome. I doubt I will post daily, but if I post about this too much, please let me know!
Usually, you go to court to determine if a witness is reliable, so this is kinda yikes:
'Cameron said evidence shows the "officers both knocked and announced their presence. It was also corroborated by a witness in an apartment near Taylor's." Therefore, Cameron said, the warrant was not served as a "no-knock" warrant.'
In #Tomcat, do you need to restart to configure log rotation using something like logging.properties? I am not sure why logrotate isn't acceptable, but apparently it is not. Different teams, perhaps.
There is a seam in my fat bike rim. Not sure what it is called officially. My front wheel is holding air fine. The back wheel is not. Is the fact that the air is coming from the seam a sign that the tape job is not correct? #cycling
